The 2013 MERCO Cycling Classic will be held on Thursday, February 28th through Sunday, March 3rd in Merced, CA.

The Stage Race will consist of the MID Road Race (Stage Race Only), an Individual Time Trial, the Downtown Grand Prix, and the Hilltop Ranch Road Race.

Total Prize List:

Pro 1/2 Men = $8,000 cash minimum + Jerseys/Rock trophies

Masters 35+ 1/2/3 = $3,000 Cash minimum + Jerseys/Rock Trophies

Women Pro 1/2/3 = $3250 Cash minimum + Jerseys/Rock Trophies.

9 Rider Limit Per team.

Leaders Jersey’s will be awarded to the GC leader following each stage.

There will be a Combined (Sprint/KOM) competition for Both Mens Pro 1/2, Masters 35+ 1/2/3, and Womens Pro 1/2/3 Categories.  The leader after each stage will be awarded a Leaders Jersey sponsored by Jakroo.  Final Overall winner will be awarded $350 Pro 1/2  winner and $250 to the Masters 35+ 1/2/3 and Pro 1/2/3 Womens winner.

There will be an U25 competition for the mens P1/2 and U26 for women with a leaders jersey awarded following each stage. Overall winner will be awarded $150(Men)/ $125(Women).

For 2013 we have added a “most passionate” rider award.  This will be given daily to 1 rider in the pro men and womens field that puts in the most work, either off the front, helping a teammate, or just never giving up!  $75 Prize each day plus jersey (excluding TT).

The highest finishing rider over 45 in the 35+ 1/2/3 category will be awarded $150 along with a leaders jersey after each stage.

Prize money for the Overall GC standings:

• Pro 1/2 Men: $4,000/20 places
• Women Pro1/2/3: $1,500/15 places.
• 35+ 1/2/3: $1,500/15 places
